Matthew Labrie comes from a large Southampton family and grew up watching many of his relatives rely on Canon for their real estate transactions. “It’s a very welcoming environment,” he says. “I love the family side of the business.”

Family-run operations are something Matthew knows well. While attending Hampshire Regional High School, he worked in his family’s machine shop, J&E Precision. After graduating, he joined the company full-time, focusing on final inspection and assembly. Matthew is also deeply involved in his family’s equestrian business, Labrie Show Horses, which specializes in training and boarding. He began riding at the age of three and, during high school, traveled across the country competing in American Quarter Horse Association.

Matthew and his wife live in Westfield with their three dogs and three cats. “We’re big animal people,” he says. At Canon, Matthew values building genuine connections with clients. “I love getting to know people and really listening,” he explains. “Finding the right fit for someone is incredibly important—whether it’s a starter home or a forever home. I’m particular about what I like, so I understand how personal that process can be.”
